Job summary

Rising Star Casino is seeking a dedicated line cook to support busy kitchen operations. You will follow recipes, maintain quality, and prepare soups and sauces as needed. You will work from production sheets and collaborate with the Sous Chef to ensure timely, consistent plating in a fast-paced environment.

We value reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety and uniform standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and prior kitchen experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• Six months of previous experience in kitchen production.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others at all times.
• Basic knife skills required.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipe specifications and maintains high quality and consistency.
• Cooks in high volume and high quality environment.
• Works from production sheets and recipes.
• Has knowledge of basic soup and sauce production.
• Follows directions of Sous Chef or Lead Cook (Cook III).
• Works cooperatively with others under high stress.
• Assists with food preparation.
• Keeps and uses rotated food items using FIFO method.
• Keeps refrigerators and dry storage clean & organized.
