Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a professional cook to join a high-volume operation in a fast-paced casino environment. You will provide fast, friendly service to team members and guests, and you will maintain up-to-date information on food items, including preparation techniques, seasonings, and ingredients.

Responsibilities include preparing breakfast items, entrées, and desserts per guest requests, following proper cooking methods and health/safety standards, and ensuring food is sliced,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years' prior experience as cook in high-volume food service operation.
• Must be able to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Providing fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to team members and guests.
• Maintaining current and accurate information regarding food items (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients).
• Preparing food items per guest order as required including, but not limited to, breakfast items, entrees, and desserts according to guest requests.
• Employing proper cooking methods, cooks to specifications, and handling, storing and rotating food properly in accordance with established health and safety standards.
• Slicing, dicing, chopping, and preparing raw products.
• Carving meats, portioning food on serving plates, adding gravies and sauces, and garnishing plates as required.
