Job summary

Guest Services Inc. is seeking a line cook to collaborate with kitchen staff in daily production, preparation, and presentation of all restaurant foods in a safe, sanitary environment.

You will ensure all items are served per specifications and under supervision. Responsibilities include cooking per recipes, rotating inventory with FIFO, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and monitoring costs while supporting various stations and plate presentations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of culinary knowledge.
• Food Safety certification and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; assist customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain and rotate food items; date and label; practice FIFO.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas for cleanliness.
• Operate food station; perform station checklist and temperature logs.
• Requisition food supplies based on future needs.
• Monitor menus and spending to ensure economical meal preparation.
• Be knowledgeable of all stations and plate presentations.
• Report safety issues to management immediately.
