Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Sterling, VA to join a growing accounting team. The role focuses on high-volume AIA and Time & Material billing, ensuring invoice accuracy and supporting month-end processes.

Ideal candidates have extensive AR/billing experience in construction, with strong Excel and MS Office skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of Accounts Receivable, billing, or related accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience processing AIA and/or Time & Material (T&M) billings.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to invoice accuracy and data integrity.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain structured electronic records.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of transactions while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process high-volume AIA and Time & Material billings monthly.
• Manage approximately 100 AIA and 700 T&M billings per month with accuracy.
• Review billing information for accuracy before submission.
• Compile client-specific billing forms and documentation.
• Upload invoices and documents into client portals.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure correctly prepared invoices.
• Maintain organized electronic records for retrieval and audit readiness.
• Scan and upload documents for month-end close.
• Use Bluebeam to organize and file documents per naming conventions.
• Assist with additional AR and billing tasks as needed.
