Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a field maintenance technician to perform maintenance and construction activities around high voltage substations and transmission lines, with extensive travel across the United States.

A strong safety mindset and the ability to work in demanding conditions are essential. The role involves servicing wind turbines, diagnosing faults, and ensuring reliable operation of underground cables, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical degree or certificate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical maintenance, with 1 year specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/construction on HV systems up to 345 kV.
• Work around wind turbines and transmission assets.
• Diagnose and fix electrical faults to prevent outages.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and systems.
• Complete safety paperwork and follow zero-injury practices.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
