Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects. The role involves directing the design team, supporting EPC proposals, and ensuring design integrity from inception through construction.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, extensive HV substation or transmission line experience, and a PE license. Travel up to 10–25% may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering and understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Provide oversight for the design team performing detailed engineering.
• Support EPC proposals through engineering analysis and documentation.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and cost-effectiveness targets.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to deliver projects.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and engineering records.
