Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects, providing an oversight role for the design team and supporting EPC proposals. The ideal candidate has strong civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering background and extensive experience in high voltage substations or transmission lines.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage project scope, schedule, and cost.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of detailed engineering in electric utility high voltage substations or transmission lines.
• B.S. or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• P.E. license is required.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC).
• Experience with design review, project controls, and external customer support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design of high voltage infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
• Provide oversight for the design team performing detailed design and EPC support.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders for delivery.
