Job summary

Dashiell Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician for high-voltage substation testing, maintenance, and commissioning in Columbus, OH. The role offers a path from Level I to Senior based on experience, with increasing responsibility and field leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities include performing electrical tests, calibrations, and documenting results while upholding NFPA 70E and OSHA standards. Travel and on-site coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum qualifications for Level II/III include 1–3 years of related field service experience.
• Proficiency in protective relay testing, power apparatus testing, and low-voltage station auxiliary systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams; perform transformer turns and power factor calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare detailed reports and commissioning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-voltage substation testing and commissioning under supervision.
• Lead smaller field assignments and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare and maintain test reports and commissioning documentation.
• Ensure safety procedures and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Interact with Project Managers, Engineering, and client representatives on testing scope.
