Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician in Illinois to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and repair on distribution systems.

You will travel to industrial and commercial sites, inspect and test high and medium voltage equipment, and ensure safety and quality on every job. The role requires 2+ years of testing experience, OSHA/ NFPA familiarity, and a valid driver's license with travel around 40%+.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of switchgear testing experience.
• Must have driver’s license and travel ability (40%+).
• Experience with Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on HV/LV systems.
• Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing.
• Test relays, switchgear and circuit breakers; operate to safety standards.
• Assist with on-call emergencies and respond in a timely manner.
