Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician to perform testing on electrical systems at customer sites. The role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection for low to high voltage equipment, including relays and switchgear.

Travel locally and regionally with periodic overnight stays; NETA certification preferred. Must meet safety standards and be able to lift up to 75 lbs with strong PC skills, including Excel and PowerDB.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a technical degree in EPC or Electrical Power, ABET-accredited EE training, or military equivalent.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally with overnight stays as needed.
• NETA certification or similar preferred and experience with switchgear testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot electrical systems at customer sites.
• Perform start‑ups and collect data on HV equipment.
• Engage in on‑call duties and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain safety procedures and documentation of test results.
