Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Field Service Technician to support high‑voltage substation testing, maintenance, and commissioning in Abilene, TX. Levels I–Senior offer a clear growth path based on experience, with duties spanning testing, documentation, and safety.

Ideal candidates have electrical tech degrees, at least 1 year of relevant field experience, and familiarity with testing equipment like Doble, Megger, and Omicron. Campus or field training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or a related field service role.
• Proficiency with high‑voltage testing procedures and protective relay testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning on high-voltage substations and equipment.
• Lead field assignments and mentor junior technicians.
• Prepare detailed test reports and commissioning documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE in accordance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
