Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Las Vegas, NV. You will lead installation, testing, and maintenance of HV substations (69kV–550kV) with extensive travel, up to 80% to customer sites across the US.

The role requires 5+ years in HV field service, strong leadership, and ability to work across teams. Relocation or travel flexibility is essential; safety and integrity are core values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HV substation field experience (>69kV).
• Electrical/mechanical background with HV equipment.
• Must have US work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in electrical/mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service operations and solve problems requiring strong technical skills.
• Install and commission HV substation equipment (69kV–550kV).
• Supervise electricians and contractors on site.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV equipment.
