Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a field service engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of High Voltage equipment across the Western United States. Based in Hillsboro, OR, this role involves hands-on field work at customer sites with a focus on safe operation and reliability of power systems.

You will perform installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive/ corrective maintenance, and will document test results and service reports,

Qualifications

• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the United States.
• HV substations and high voltage equipment field experience preferred.
• Experience with installation, testing, and commissioning in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical field service operations involving installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and repair of High Voltage equipment
• Execute or supervise installation and commissioning of High Voltage substation equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on High Voltage equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve operating problems using field investigation and testing
• Perform and document electrical field tests including gas analysis and diagnostic testing
• Conduct inspections to determine maintenance and repair requirements
• Develop recommendations and prepare written service reports and documentation
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and test results
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
