Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment up to 800kV. Qualifications

• Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Trade education or college degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred; equivalent training considered.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical field service, construction, power equipment, or related environments.
• Experience supporting installation, maintenance, testing, or repair of electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities involving installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment
• Support commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, upgrade, and retrofit projects at customer sites
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues and assist with corrective actions
• Conduct testing activities and document results using established procedures
• Compile and review equipment and test data to support issue resolution
• Coordinate work activities with internal teams and customer representatives
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and customer service
• Support field service projects and the operation of field test equipment
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
