Job summary

Chain Electric Company in Texas seeks a skilled Foreman to oversee electrical crews on construction, maintenance, and operation projects. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality workmanship while coordinating with General Foreman and Project Managers.

The role requires leadership, field experience with energized high-voltage work, and the ability to read technical docs, plan effectively, and manage costs and resources on site. CDL-B preferred; willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience on energized HV systems (7.2 kV minimum).
• Ability to travel 100% of the time on short notice.
• Valid CDL-B license required.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to schedule crews and deadlines.
• Good mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, manuals, and blueprints.
• Capable of handling emergencies, hazards and multiple priorities safely.
• Leadership skills to train and guide personnel in a safe manner.
• Must communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
• Dependable and trustworthy under demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to crews to ensure safe, efficient, and quality operations.
• Develop look ahead schedules with estimation of worker requirements, equipment and materials.
• Ensure crew follows GF's schedule and maintains project timelines.
• Maintain safety and security of work sites, tools, and assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure crew compliance.
• Assist in problem solving to use effective technologies and equipment.
• Assist workers with construction or extraction tasks using hand tools or equipment.
• Ensure timely repairs to equipment to minimize delays and costs.
• Assist GF in training workers on methods, safety, and company policies.
• Support Project Managers to meet company goals and recruit qualified applicants.
• Suggest promotions, transfers, or hires as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and cultivate new business.
