Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking a Foreman to oversee the construction, maintenance and operation of electrical systems, ensuring projects meet design, budget, schedule and safety requirements.

The role requires providing leadership to crews, coordinating with the General Foreman, and developing look-ahead schedules to ensure timely completion of customer projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' experience around energized high-voltage systems (7.2kV minimum).
• Ability to travel 100% of the time.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess planning/organizational skills and ability to delegate work to schedule crew and meet deadlines.
• Must possess good mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts.
• Must read and understand technical information, manuals, policies, procedures, work orders, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Must handle emergencies, hazardous conditions, multiple priorities, and time constraints.
• Must possess leadership skills to guide and train assigned personnel safely and effectively.
• Must understand and use English for communication.
• Must be dependable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to crews to ensure safe, efficient, and quality operations.
• Develop look-ahead schedules with GF for estimating worker requirements and materials.
• Ensure crew follows GF's schedule of activities in construction and maintenance of customer projects.
• Ensure work progress, equipment, and sites are safe and meet specifications and schedule.
• Maintain tools and materials securely and protect assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and guidelines across the team and customers.
• Assist GF with problem solving to use effective technology and equipment.
• Support workers in construction methods and safety procedures.
• Assist in recruiting and assigning classifications based on skills.
• Support General Foreman/Project Managers to meet company goals.
• Adhere to EEO, safety, and QA programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and build new ones.
