Job summary

Ardsley High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the testing center for the 2026-2027 school year, effective immediately. The role requires administering and overseeing exams, verifying student identities, and coordinating seating and flow within the testing center.

The successful candidate will proctor exams (in person and via surveillance), enforce test security policies, and collaborate with the High School Assistant Principal to develop and maintain testing workflows.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State Teaching Assistant certificate or Classroom Teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee standardized, course-specific, and accommodated exams in strict compliance with testing center guidelines and protocols.
• Verify student identities, cross-reference exam rosters, and assign designated seating prior to admitting examinees into the testing room.
• Actively proctor examinations by monitoring testing rooms (in-person and via surveillance) to deter academic dishonesty and maintain a quiet, distraction-free environment.
• Enforce test security policies, managing the collection and secure storage of unauthorized items such as phones, bags, and smartwatches.
