Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to assist students with academic and behavioral support in both in-class and distance learning settings. You will work under the Education Specialist to reinforce learning activities and follow behavior plans.

Qualifications

• Paid or volunteer experience working with individuals with academic, behavioral, or functional needs is preferred.
• Title I paraprofessionals must have: high school diploma or equivalent, and either AA/BA or 48 units, or pass ParaPro or CBEST.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce core academic activities.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Support social-interactions and foster relationships between students with disabilities and peers.
• Model appropriate behavior and provide emotional support to students.
• Support field trips and school assemblies; provide testing accommodations as needed.
• Maintain accurate progress data and communicate with the Education Specialist.
