Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students in special education and general education settings, with in-person and virtual roles. This 12-month position includes school-break pay and a competitive hourly rate of $20.92–$24.84.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, behavior support, data tracking, IEP participation, and collaboration with teachers, families, and the school community to promote student learning and well-being.

Qualifications

• Title I paraprofessional duties require HS diploma or equivalent and an additional degree or tests.
• Pass ParaPro (460) or CBEST exams.
• AA/BA degree or 48 completed units preferred.
• Experience with students with academic/behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Foster positive relationships between students with disabilities and non-disabled peers.
• Provide testing accommodations and supervise testing sessions when needed.
• Maintain student progress records and data trackers for progress monitoring.
• Attend IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
