Job summary

KIPP New Jersey is seeking a Managing Director of School Operations for High Schools in Newark. The role leads operational excellence across two high schools, partnering with School Leaders to improve attendance, enrollment, safety, and daily systems, driving instructional time and student success.

The position requires 5–10 years in school-based operations leadership, direct management experience, and a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience leading school operations and driving organizational performance.
• Direct management experience with a track record of developing leaders and teams.
• K-12 education experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own high school operations across two Newark high schools and collaborate with School Leaders.
• Coach and develop Directors of Campus Operations and ops teams to high standards.
• Partner with regional and network teams to standardize high school operational systems.
• Drive attendance, enrollment, safety, and resource stewardship to support student outcomes.
• Lead initiatives aligned to regional priorities such as 8th-to-9th persistence and safety.
