Job summary

EduCare Foundation is seeking an After-School Program Staff Lead to support the daily operation of a High School after-school program. You will work closely with the Site Coordinator, blend direct student programming with admin duties, and devote time to attendance, compliance, and program-support tasks.

You will mentor staff, help ensure safety and program quality, and facilitate engaging activities while maintaining strong communication with families and school personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or progress toward degree preferred in education, child development, recreation, or related field.
• Experience mentoring or leading youth in after-school settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily administration and operation of the after-school program.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, registration, and program records.
• Ensure documentation is complete and submitted by deadlines.
• Assist with sign-in/sign-out procedures and attendance discrepancies.
• Coordinate schedules, rosters, activity plans, and site documents.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Follow safety, grant, and district policies; protect confidential info.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to frontline staff and reinforce program expectations.
• Support staff with daily assignments, safety procedures, and documentation.
• Refer performance or safety concerns to Site Coordinator.
• Identify opportunities to improve student engagement and program quality.
• Support adjustments to activities, schedules, and staffing as directed.
• Provide engaging, age-appropriate activities and supervision.
