Job summary

EduCare Foundation seeks an After-School Program Staff Lead to support daily operations of a safe, organized, and student-centered middle school program in Los Angeles County. You will work closely with the Site Coordinator, spending about two hours daily on admin tasks while facilitating academic and enrichment activities for students.

The role offers leadership opportunities, mentorship to frontline staff, and ongoing training in program compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in after-school, youth-programs, recreation, or community-based settings preferred.
• Administrative, attendance-tracking, data-entry, scheduling, or recordkeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Site Administration and Compliance: support daily admin, attendance, compliance, and program records.
• Staff Leadership and Program Support: guide frontline employees and ensure program expectations are met.
• Temporary Site Coverage: provide coverage and coordinate daily operations when needed.
• Program Facilitation and Student Engagement: develop and facilitate activities and supervise students.
• Family, School, and Community Communication: communicate professionally with families and school personnel.
• Program Quality and Safety: monitor participation and ensure safety and program quality.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: supervise and support frontline staff under Site Coordinator.
• Additional Responsibilities: perform other duties to support students and EduCare’s mission.
