Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group in Mashantucket, CT, is seeking a part-time Bartender to deliver fast, friendly service across our venues. You will greet guests, mix drinks, take orders, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked bar area.

The role requires at least 1 year of bartending experience, the ability to work Sundays and evenings, and the stamina to stand for long shifts. TIPS certification is a plus. Base pay starts at $8.23 per hour plus tips.

Description

As a Bartender, a typical day might include the following:

• Greeting guests with a welcoming smile providing them with fast, friendly service
• This is a versatile, multi-venue role that includes bartending, serving guests on the bowling lanes, working private events, and staffing our VIP room.
• Accurately taking the guest's drink order and preparing in accordance with company recipe before presenting to guests
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to all necessary guidelines
• Ensuring consistency by following company recipes and standards
• Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
• Working well with others as you will be working with other bartenders, servers, bar backs, and management
• Remember guest’s names and utilizing them when appropriate
• Resolving service problems with empathy and according to company guidelines
• Maintaining a clean and stocked work environment
• Arranging bottles and glassware to maintain an attractive display
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• At least 1 year previous bartending experience in a fast-paced bar/restaurant, or other service-based environment
• A neat and professional appearance
• Availability on both weekdays and weekends. Must be available to work Sundays
• Comfortable working across multiple service areas in a fast-paced environment
• TIPS Certification a plus and will be required if chosen for the position
• Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
• Ability to build guest loyalty with an outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Excellent memory and ability to multitask
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• Ability to accurately count money and provide necessary change
• Ability to work flexible part-time hours based on events schedule is a must
