Job summary

thyssenkrupp in Kyle, Texas is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift. The role may involve cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other equipment, and requires working under general supervision.

Responsibilities include order picking, packing, loading/unloading trucks, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and maintaining safety standards on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of warehousing experience, especially in metals.
• Must have forklift certification.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
• Cycle Counts
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Perform general clean up
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
• Train others when required
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery

• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements

• Use of handheld measuring tools preferred
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs preferred
• LEAN and/or Quality Control experience preferred

Job Compensation

Schedule: Mon- Thursday 6AM to 6PM

Hourly Rate: 19.00-21.00
