Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, repair and clean power plant equipment.
• Observe the operation of the plant and make necessary adjustments.
• Respond to emergencies and equipment breakdown.
• Read meters and gauges at specified intervals to ensure proper temperature, pressure, water levels, etc.
• Keep power plant logs by recording readings, steam and power generated, fuel usage, maintenance performed and similar data.
• Test boiler water and returns; add chemicals when necessary for proper balance.
