Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, operate, maintain, and repair hospital mechanical and HVAC equipment at 90 Blossom Street. The role includes control systems, air handling, and water treatment to support patient care and research environments.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, EPA certification, and 1–2 years HVAC experience, with ability to lift 30–70 lbs and read specifications. Onsite work; benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in related field
• Experience: EPA Certification and 1–2 years HVAC experience required
• Ability to estimate time and materials for a job
• Read, write, speak English clearly and follow manufacturers' specifications

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain hospital refrigeration systems, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation per manufacturer specs
• Design, install, maintain, and repair air ducts, refrigeration piping, and control wiring per heat load procedures
• Service pneumatic and electronic control systems including humidification systems
• Perform water treatment and maintenance for cooling towers and chill water systems
• Service ultra-cold freezers and environmental systems for medical/research use
• Maintain environmental conditions in research, animal, and computer areas
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines
