Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its expanding practice. The attorney will handle a heavy and complex caseload and hearings, contributing to a statewide workers’ compensation initiative.

This is a rare opportunity to build out a new practice area with robust case inflow, competitive compensation, and a supportive team within a leading personal injury law firm.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• An active member in good standing with the FL State Bar Association.
• Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation experience.
• Ability to manage high volume of cases and hearings.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases and hearings.
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits.
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings and court appearances.
