Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing Jersey City practice. The attorney will handle a heavy and complex caseload of workers' compensation matters and hearings, with an opportunity to build out a new statewide practice within the firm.

The right candidate will manage a robust influx of cases, average high-volume dockets, and enjoy a platform that supports litigation resources and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the NJ State Bar Association.
• Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation experience.
• Ability to manage high volume of cases and hearings.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases and hearings.
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions and memoranda.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses including conferences, drafting of reports and affidavits.
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
