Job summary

EXOS in Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Performance Coach to design and lead fitness programs within a corporate wellness setting. You will guide group classes, assess clients, and craft personalized plans for a broad client base, including high-risk populations.

The role includes one-on-one training and motivation to help clients reach wellness goals. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field, current national certifications, and CPR/AED/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Current NASM/ACSM/NSCA/ACE certification preferred.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• At least 6 months of industry experience, including relevant internships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor exercise participants to ensure safety and adherence to workout plans.
• Lead and instruct diverse group exercise classes, catering to various fitness levels.
• Conduct fitness assessments, prescribe personalized exercise plans, and design effective workout programs.
• Offer one-on-one consultations, personalized training, and motivation to help clients succeed.
• Assist in implementing incentive, health promotion, and other specialty programs to drive engagement.
• Manage administrative tasks related to fitness facility operations.
