Job summary

O’Charley’s in Canal Winchester is seeking a dependable Dish Operator to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will set up and break down the dish machine, scrub wares, and ensure proper temperatures while coordinating with Line Cooks for a clean, efficient kitchen.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following established cleaning and safety procedures to deliver high-quality guest service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dish machine operating procedures.
• Understanding preventive maintenance measures and standards.
• Knowledge of proper chemical usage and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to interact with guests.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and breaks down dish machine, including arms, screens and baskets.
• Washes and stores dishes, small wares and glasses according to procedures.
• Checks water temperature during dishwashing to ensure proper temperature.
• Maintains neat dishroom and storage areas; reports defects.
• Works as a team with Line Cooks to maintain a clean kitchen area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by a Manager.
