Job summary

O’Charley’s in Newark, OH is seeking a Dish Operator to join our kitchen team. You’ll set up and break down the dish machine, wash and store dishes and silverware, and monitor temperatures to ensure safety and quality.

You’ll collaborate with Line Cooks to maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and support guest service. Ideal candidates are organized, quick on their feet, with good communication and a strong sense of team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dish machine operating procedures and silverware handling.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and cleaning standards.
• Understanding of proper chemical usage and guest interaction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down dish machine, clean and inspect for defects.
• Wash and store dishes, presoak, rack and wash silverware; monitor water temperature.
• Check trash and keep dishroom tidy; manage bins and liners.
• Maintain clean dishroom and detergent storage; keep floors dry.
• Work as a team with Line Cooks to keep kitchen clean and efficient.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Manager.
