Job summary

Benihana Miramar is seeking a hibachi cook to engage guests with live cooking shows and prepare a variety of meats and vegetables for their dining experience. You will work in a fast-paced front-of-house kitchen, ensure portions and presentation meet standards, and maintain a clean, safe cooking area.

Applicants should have a High School diploma and complete the Benihana chef training program. Prior chef or cook experience is desirable, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order(s).
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction is appropriate and courteous.
• Readily provides guests with information about Benihana foods as they are being cooked or upon guest inquiries.
• Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Asks guests for cooking preference and follows guest instructions.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Maintains kitchen and teppan cooking areas clean and sanitized.
