Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking an attentive Home Care Assistant to provide day-to-day support for clients. The role pays hourly and includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, an HSA and PTO, plus a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, transfers, companionship, and coordinating services with families and local agencies. Candidates should have a current BLS, be at least 18, and comfortable reporting changes to care plans.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state
• 1 year relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS Card
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Ability to coordinate services between home, school, local health agency, and community resources
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in English may be required
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan

• Appropriately reports changes in client status or as directed by care plan
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
