The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a broad range of high-complexity clinical tests across multiple sections and ensures accurate specimen handling and timely results. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, quality control, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to CLIA, OSHA and HIPAA regulations while collaborating with physicians and staff to support

Qualifications

Graduate from NAACLS/ABHES or AMT-acceptable program for Medical Laboratory Technician.
Associate degree in Laboratory Science/MLT/MLS/MT or equivalent.
BLS certification.
Registration/certification through ASCP or AMT.
Minimum one year of post-graduation experience as a medical laboratory technician.

Responsibilities

Perform high-complexity tests across hematology, chemistry, cytology, histotechnology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and blood bank.
Ensure accurate specimen processing and timely testing; minimize delays.
Perform phlebotomy services and obtain quality samples for testing.
Maintain equipment readiness and perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Adhere to CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
Support quality control procedures, validate test results and maintain data integrity.
