ADVANCED CHENEGA SERVICES, LLC at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support the Department of Pathology and Ancillary Laboratory Services. The role conducts high-complexity tests across multiple sections and ensures accurate specimen handling.

The ideal candidate will hold an NAACLS/ABHES accredited training, an associate degree or higher, BLS, and ASCP/AMT certification, with at least one year of recent lab experience.

Qualifications

• NAACLS or ABHES accredited MLT program (or AMT-acceptable equivalent).
• Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science, MLT, MLS, or MT.
• BLS certification required.
• Registration/certification through ASCP or AMT.
• Minimum one year of clinical laboratory experience post-graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity tests across hematology, chemistry, cytology, histology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and blood bank.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and timely results.
• Prepare specimens for transport and maintain instrument readiness.
• Uphold quality control procedures and regulatory compliance (CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with inventory and process improvements.
• Communicate results clearly to physicians and nurses.
