The role requires an NAACLS/ABHES- or AMT-approved program, MLT/MLS/MT credentials, BLS, and active certification; you will ensure accurate results, quality control, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NAACLS/ABHES or AMT-acceptable MLT/MLS/MT program. CE requirements apply.
• Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science/MLT/MLS/MT.
• BLS certification is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity tests in hematology, chemistry, cytology, histotechnology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and blood bank.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and timely testing.
• Prepare specimens for transport to MTF laboratory or mail-out as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain quality control and regulatory compliance (CLIA, HIPAA).
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to communicate results effectively.
• Manage inventory and participate in process improvements.
