Job summary

Under general supervision, you will handle instrument maintenance, troubleshoot when needed, and assist with phlebotomy. Requires a BS in Medical Technology and NYS license or eligible, with a strong analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related discipline with clinical internship.
• NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or eligible.
• Analytical skills and ability to perform calculations and operate laboratory instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests in hematology as assigned.
• Analyze and interpret test results; notify appropriate personnel of abnormal results.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on instruments.
• Maintain quality control procedures and document results.
• Assist with phlebotomy when required.
