NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Part-Time Laboratory Technologist for the Blood Bank to perform clinical lab tests under supervision, analyze results, and ensure accuracy. The role emphasizes quality control, documentation, and effective communication with the team in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for test processing, phlebotomy when required, and adherence to procedures, with opportunities to collaborate across the clinical labs and support patient care.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology including a clinical internship or BS in a related discipline with one year supervised clinical laboratory experience.
• NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible.
• Professional accreditation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections of the Laboratory Department.
• Analyze and interpret test results; ensure accuracy and notify appropriate personnel of abnormal results.
• Repeat tests as necessary and perform phlebotomy when required.
• Maintain quality control and document_results following procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team and supervise in accordance with policies.
