Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology with clinical internship or equivalent with one year supervised laboratory experience.
• NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible.
• Analytical and mathematical skills to analyze data and results.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs hematology tests and related analyses.
• Analyzes and interprets test results and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Performs quality control and documents QC results.
• Maintains instrument maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• May perform phlebotomy when required and follows procedures carefully.
