NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Laboratory Technologist for a part-time, days shift in the Clinical Labs-Blood Bank. The role performs various clinical lab tests to support diagnosis and treatment, analyzes results, and repeats tests as needed while maintaining accuracy.

The successful candidate will hold a BS in Medical Technology with clinical internship or related supervision, possess a NYS CLT license or be eligible, and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills in a

Qualifications

BS in Medical Technology including clinical internship or closely related degree with supervised clinical lab experience.
NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible.
Professional accreditation preferred.
Analytical skills necessary to analyze data and perform calculations.
Basic knowledge of computer fundamentals and experience with LIS.
Technical skills to operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical laboratory tests in the Blood Bank and other sections under supervision.
Analyze and interpret test results and ensure accuracy.
Repeat tests as needed and notify personnel for abnormal results.
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintain reagent/supply inventory.
Conduct phlebotomy when required with expertise.
Follow procedures and maintain quality control.
Communicate clearly with team and document results.
