Job summary

Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Hematology (PNH) Account Manager to represent the company with key health care professionals and accounts in the assigned geography.

You will develop account plans, map referral networks, and lead speaker programs and marketing tactics while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A BA/BS and 4+ years in biotech/pharma sales are required, with flexibility for domestic travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree
• 4+ years of biotech/pharma sales and account management experience
• Experience in Hematology/Oncology or rare disease preferred, other specialty sales considered

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain proficiency in disease states, patient and clinic experience, market landscape, and product.
• Drive revenue by achieving sales/marketing objectives.
• Serve as primary commercial interface with key accounts and ensure overall customer experience.
• Develop deep understanding of key accounts and stakeholders across providers and staff.
• Create and execute business plans for key accounts aligned to strategy and resources.
• Assess treatment patterns and referral networks for key accounts.
• Collaborate with patient services, reimbursement support, medical affairs, and operations to achieve objectives.
• Share insights and best practices with team and leadership.
• Utilize approved resources to achieve territory and account objectives.
• Communicate with Sales Director regularly about ideas and challenges.
• Share field insights with home-office and participate in workshops and readouts.
• Operate with integrity per pharma regulations.
