Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Help Desk Technician to maintain end-user workstations and LAN performance. The role covers local and remote support across multiple facilities, including North America and other locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required; Bachelor degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of computer servicing/help desk experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to provide remote support via e-mail, phone, and remote desktop connection.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain PCs and related hardware/software.
• Strong problem solving/analytical skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Administers end-user workstations and supports end-user activities using TCP/IP on a Windows LAN.
• Establishes voice and e-mail accounts for new users; provides orientation to employees.
• Manages the help desk ticket system; prioritizes and assigns tasks.
• Investigates user problems, identifies solutions, tests and implements.
• Liaises with vendors for printers, telecommunications and mobile phones.
• Organizes and manages IT assets, including storage, labeling, and hardware/software installation.
• Investigates and recommends new software to improve business processes.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
