Job summary

Huxley is seeking a Helpdesk Engineer in Boston to deliver hands-on user support across desktop, infrastructure, and cloud technologies within a fast-paced investment management environment.

You will manage onboarding/offboarding, support Microsoft 365, and assist with security policies and device provisioning while collaborating with security and IT teams on projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Helpdesk/Desktop Support/End User Computing.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands-on administration with Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11.
• Knowledge of Intune, endpoint management, device provisioning.
• Familiarity with networking, VPNs, connectivity troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a technology team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support across hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365 incl. Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding and access requests via Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
• Support endpoint management and device provisioning.
• Maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles.

Role: Helpdesk Engineer

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 + Bonus

A highly respected Boston-based investment management firm is seeking a Helpdesk Engineer to join its growing IT team. This role will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support across the business, ensuring employees receive a high-quality service across desktop, infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users across hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and access requests through Entra ID (Azure AD).

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or End User Computing role.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands-on administration experience with Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, and device provisioning.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider technology team.

Nice to Have

• Experience within financial services, asset management, or professional services environments.
• Exposure to PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft security and compliance tools.
