Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Senior Product Manager for HELOC Decisioning to own the underwriting and verification experience, driving smoother borrower access to HELOCs with better rates.

You will partner with engineering, risk, ML, capital, and compliance to expand eligibility, automate decisions, and improve conversion, while balancing risk and data usage. This role offers remote work with occasional onsite meetings in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management on fast-moving, customer-obsessed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes with quantitative metrics and qualitative insight.
• Strong product sense with multi-quarter roadmaps and ownership of downstream consequences.
• Rigorous, analytical problem solver with clear, persuasive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for HELOC decisioning and verification experience.
• Collaborate with Capital, Compliance, Risk, and ML to expand underwriting guidelines and borrower segments.
• Define backend logic for underwriting and decisioning to balance risk and data needs.
• Increase automation and instant approvals using new data sources and ML techniques.
