Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Decisioning & Automation, to own the underwriting and verification experience for HELOC, partnering with engineering, risk, ML, capital, and compliance to expand borrower eligibility and automation.

You will drive strategy and execution across teams to improve conversion, speed, and portfolio quality while balancing risk and data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience on fast-moving, customer-obsessed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes with metrics and insights.
• Strong product sense with multi-quarter roadmaps and long-term impact.
• Rigorous, analytical problem solving with clear communication.
• Ownership mindset and collaborative spirit in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for decisioning and verification experiences.
• Collaborate with Capital, Compliance, Risk, and ML to expand underwriting guidelines.
• Define and evolve backend logic for underwriting and decisioning to balance risk and speed.
• Increase automation and instant approvals using new data sources and ML techniques.
