Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transportation while ensuring safety for the medical team and patients during every flight.

The role requires FAA certifications and substantial helicopter flight time; the position is based at the Wadesboro Air Base in North Carolina, with a 42-hour weekly schedule and competitive compensation including a $12,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• FAA certifications as required (Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating or ATP)
• Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher)
• 2,500 hours helicopter total time; 100 cross-country, 25 night; 75 instrument hours; 100 unaided night hours

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regs, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights considering weather, weight & balance, and fuel needs.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds to emergency calls, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Maintains flight and maintenance logs per FAA and company requirements.
• Represents the company professionally when interacting with patients and the public.
