Job summary

Randstad USA seeks a highly motivated Carrier Sales Representative specializing in Flatbed, OOG, and Oversized Freight. You will source, negotiate, and secure specialized carrier capacity, serving as the operational bridge between carriers and internal account managers to move heavy machinery and equipment safely and in compliance.

You will manage end-to-end shipments, onboard carriers, and build long-term partnerships, leveraging your knowledge of flatbed and heavy-haul lanes, DOT regulations,

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years carrier sales or freight brokerage experience within a 3PL.
• Understanding of trailer specifications and DOT/FMCSA dimensional regulations.
• Excellent phone presence and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle routing changes and permit delays.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard specialized flatbed, open-deck, and heavy-haul carriers.
• Negotiate spot-market and lane-dedicated rates to maximize margin.
• Coordinate permits, escorts, curfew restrictions for oversized moves.
• Manage shipments end-to-end from dispatch to delivery and track drivers.
• Build long-term partnerships with specialized carriers.
