Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services, West Nashville Towing division, seeks a Specialized Transport Driver in Nashville, TN. You will operate a heavy-duty tractor-trailer over 33,000 lbs GVWR and must have at least two years of heavy hauling experience, complying with DOT rules and safety protocols.

The position offers a competitive annual compensation range and a robust benefits package. English communication is required, and the role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and heavy hauling experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old to meet insurance and driving eligibility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of heavy hauling/commercial driving experience.
• Fluent English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Report to Dispatcher on schedule, on-time and in uniform.
• Identify availability to work and coordinate with Dispatch.
• Perform daily vehicle inspection and document issues.
• Adhere to all DOT rules and safety regulations while operating the truck.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe condition; report issues promptly.
• Drive interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport as required.

$1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State

West Nashville Towing, a division of Guardian Fleet Services

Annual Compensation Range: $78k - $104k

The Specialized Transport Driver will safely operate a commercial industrial carrier or tractor trailer combination with a GVWR rating in excess of 33,000 lbs. have at least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience.

• Report each scheduled day, on-time, ready and able to work, well-groomed and in uniform.
• Identify to the Dispatcher that you are available to work.
• Perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issues.
• Responsible to follow all Company and DOT rules and regulations regarding the safe operation of the truck.
• Inspect all supplied tools such as chains, straps, and cables to ensure equipment is in a good and safe condition.
• Report any issue that restricts the ability to complete the dispatch in a timely manner.
• Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Commercial Class A driver’s license - CDL for Heavy Transport Positions
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet company insurance and driving eligibility requirements
• High school diploma or GED (preferred),
• At least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending, reaching and climbing
• Significant physical strength and stamina

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Good hearing and vision are required

Ability to safely perform duties in active roadside and recovery environments
