Guardian Fleet Services in Tampa, FL is seeking a Specialized Transportation Driver to safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer with GVWR over 33,000 lbs and perform heavy hauling across interstate routes. The role requires a CDL Class A and at least two years of experience, with strong safety focus and adherence to DOT regulations.

Annual compensation ranges from $78,000 to $104,000, plus sign-on bonuses of $1,500 in-state and $2,500 out-of-state.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required for heavy transport positions.
• Must be at least 21 years old for insurance/eligibility.
• At least two years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate interstate tractor-trailer with GVWR over 33,000 lbs.
• Report to dispatcher and stay available, on-time and in uniform.
• Perform daily vehicle inspection sheets and address issues.
• Follow all DOT rules and company safety policies.
• Inspect and ensure chains, straps, and cables are in good condition.
• Carry out duties related to towing, recovery, and transport as assigned.

Specialized Transportation Driver - Tampa, FL

$1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State

Professional Towing, a division of Guardian Fleet Services

Annual Compensation Range: $78k - $104k

The Specialized Transport Driver will safely operate a commercial industrial carrier or tractor trailer combination with a GVWR rating in excess of 33,000 lbs. have at least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience.

• Report each scheduled day, on-time, ready and able to work, well-groomed and in uniform.
• Identify to the Dispatcher that you are available to work.
• Perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issues.
• Responsible to follow all Company and DOT rules and regulations regarding the safe operation of the truck.
• Inspect all supplied tools such as chains, straps, and cables to ensure equipment is in a good and safe condition.
• Report any issue that restricts the ability to complete the dispatch in a timely manner.
• Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Commercial Class A driver’s license - CDL for Heavy Transport Positions
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet company insurance and driving eligibility requirements
• High school diploma or GED (preferred),
• At least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience

Physical Requirements:

• The job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina
• Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Good hearing and vision are required

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
