Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Specialized Transport / Heavy Haul Driver in Texas to transport oversized, overweight, and high-value cargo using heavy-haul trucks and multi-axle trailers.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A with a clean record and 2–5 years of heavy haul experience. Strong load securement skills, DOT compliance, and excellent communication with dispatch are essential. Expect flexible hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
• 2–5 years of heavy haul or related experience.
• Proficient with load securement techniques and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-haul trucks and trailers to transport oversized, overweight, high-value cargo.
• Load, secure, and unload machinery using chains, binders, straps and blocking.
• Read and follow permits, route surveys, and escort instructions.
• Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of truck, trailer and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, escort vehicles, customers and site personnel.
• Maintain logs, permits, and load documentation; report issues.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety standards; manage weight and height restrictions.
• Keep truck clean and organized; follow safety policies.
• Work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and travel.
